Antebellum

 

 

Directions:

You and your partners will be creating a US History Workbook over the next few days.  This workbook will be called “Antebellum US to 1860”. DUE November 28th

 

First you will create a cover for your book.

    The cover should include pictures appropriate to the time period and the title.

 

Next you will create your workbook.  Your workbook will have five chapters. (Explained in detail below)

Each chapter MUST include: 

1.      A 1-2 page description of the historical event/theme. 

a.       A brief review covering all the topics included.

b.      Important terms should be bolded (vocabulary terms)

2.      Pictures related to the topic.

3.      5 – 10 Questions on the Reading

4.      1 Primary Source Document Activity  with 1-3 questions related to the document

5.      1 creative Activity (Crossword Puzzle / Word Search etc.)

 

At the end of your workbook you need to include

1.      A key of answers for ALL of the activities

2.      A reference page of links used for the material (you may just list the html sites)

3.      BONUS: A 25 pt quiz (and key) over the entire book.

 

Schedule:

           Thursday: Work in Computer Lab Room 171 researching topics

            Friday:  Work in Class to design worksheets and cover

            Monday: Work in Computer lab Room 171 to make booklets

            Tuesday: Work in Computer lab Room 171 to make booklets

            All Workbooks are due Wednesday November 28th
