Captains of Industry or Robber Barons

 

Due by Friday January 20 (NO late passes)

 

Directions:

 Day 1

1)  Choose one 19th Century Business Leaders YOU MAY NOT DO Carnegie

2)  Research your choice

3) Write a 1.5 page essay indicating if he was a "Captain of Industry" or a "Robber Baron" (This will be your thesis statement - you must choose a side)

4) Provide at least FIVE specific facts that back up your assement of the person.

5)  Be sure to list all URL used at the end of your essay.

 Day 2

6)      Choose 1 modern day business leader and do the same for them.

Essays should be normal format (introduction, body and conclusion). 

You may select the same person as someone else, however your papers must be unique.   Don’t forget to include a sentence pr two that tells how this person made their fortune.

 

This project is worth 30 points – 10 per page!
